Vung Tau – Peaceful Beach City for Tourists Empty Vung Tau – Peaceful Beach City for Tourists

Vung Tau is a beach city with many sexy beaches for tourists. Moreover the city is not very far from Ho Chi Minh and it only takes around 2 hours to get here from the city. Vung Tau is undoubtedly the first choice of tourists and the citizens in Saigon. The services and facilities here are being improved everyday and now Vung Tau is known as one of the best beach city of Vietnam.

    Choose your beach

There are many beaches in Vung Tau but basically we have the 3 biggest and most popular ones to consider which are Front Beach, Back Beach, Dau Beach. The Back Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam which is also named Thuy Van. There is also a big poplar forest at the Back Beach with some resorts and hotels in highland style around the area. At the south of Vung Tau, spreading 10 kilometers from Small Mountain to Cua Lap is a wonderful beach with gold sand, clean water but a bit wavy.

Very near to the Back Beach is, of course, the Front Beach. Front Beach is also called Tam Duong Beach by the local people. The water here is not as clean as the Back Beach so tourists gather mostly at the Back Beach. But you can come to the Front Beach to watch the sunrise in early morning or sunset in the evening on two sides of the beach. Along the beach are lines of coconut trees that it once had the named of Coconut Bay. When night falls, Tran Phu street and Quang Trung street will be lightened up by the street lights and café shops along the way.

Beside the romantic Back Beach, the shining Front Beach, Vung Tau also has a peaceful Dau Beach. This beach is not for bathing since there are many rocks here but they are not sharp, most of them are big rocks. All the rocks are leaning toward the ocean. You will find peace at this beach because the atmosphere is not as crowded as the Front and the Back Beach. Just a nice place to spend a romantic evening!

    Pick your peak

The Big Mountain is located at the north of Vung Tau city and right next to the ocean with the name Tuong Ky. When traveling up the mountain you will find a lot of beautiful landscapes and travel spots like the White Palace, Buddha Monument, Maria Statue, etc. If you have the heart, conquering the highest peak of this mountain will offer you a stunning view of the whole town below. There is also another lower peak at the White Palace, peak Cao Trang at the beginning of the first turn on the way up.

Opposite to the Big Mountain, the Small Mountain (Tao Phung Mountain) lies at the south of Vung Tau. There are many hotels and resorts along the way at the foot of this mountain, and some restaurants and café as well. On the top of this mountain is the Jesus statue which you can climb to his arm and enjoy the panoramic view to the sea and the Back Beach nearby. There is also here that you can visit the lighthouse where you can take a high position to see the houses as tiny as your toes.

No matter what it takes, Vung Tau is one destination in your check list in Vietnam tours. This charming city with a sea culture and that of a modern city will make your holiday in Vietnam a unique one.
