A few years ago me and my wife did a 2 week Med Cruise, started in Barcelona then to, Monte Carlo, Civitavecchia (Rome), Sorrento, Malta, Santorini, Kusadasi, Istanbul, Dubrovnik then finished in Venice! Cost about $1000 UK Pounds and was worth every cent or pound! 
The ship was the Marco Polo, had an inside berth. But to wake up in the morning to the view of a beautiful new city was amazing, cruise included all meals and entertainment on board. Sure beats flight delays, security checks and sitting in a plane seat for hours!! Highly recommend seeing Europe this way.
